Job Summary:

As a Data Engineer at TCS, you'll be responsible for the entire data lifecycle, from data ingestion and transformation to storage and management. You'll work closely with data scientists, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements, design and build data pipelines, and ensure the quality and security of data.

Design, develop, and implement data pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
Work with various data sources, including relational databases, NoSQL databases, and cloud storage solutions.
Utilize programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala for data processing tasks.
Implement data quality checks and ensure data integrity throughout the pipeline.
Automate data pipeline workflows using tools like Apache Airflow or Luigi.
Work with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP for data storage and processing.
Collaborate with data scientists and business analysts to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions.
Monitor and optimize data pipelines for performance and efficiency.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in data engineering (for experienced candidates) or strong interest in data and a willingness to learn (for freshers).
Proficient in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
Experience with programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala (familiarity with at least one is preferred).
Understanding of data warehousing concepts and technologies (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience:

We welcome applications from both experienced data engineers and enthusiastic freshers. For experienced candidates, a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in data engineering is preferred. Freshers with a strong academic background in computer science, information technology, or a related field, along with a passion for data and a willingness to learn, will also be considered.
