Data Engineer

Summary:

We are searching for a talented and passionate Data Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you'll design, develop, and maintain data pipelines that transform raw data into valuable insights. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to understand data needs, design scalable and efficient data architectures, and implement automated solutions on GCP. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines for ingesting, processing, and transforming large datasets.
• Build and manage data pipelines that are reliable, scalable, and secure.
• Work with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and ensure data quality.
• Automate data processing tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
• Collaborate with software engineers to develop and integrate data processing solutions within the wider software ecosystem.
• Monitor and optimize data pipelines for performance and resource utilization.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
• Strong understanding of data engineering principles and best practices.
• Experience with data pipelines, including data ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with big data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Beam, Spark) a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform) a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience:

This role is open to both experienced Data Engineers and those with less experience who are eager to learn and grow. We are looking for candidates with a strong foundation in data engineering principles and a passion for building innovative solutions.
